Bushwick Book Club Oakland

Co-founder of Oakland chapter of the Bushwick Book Club (Originally began by singer-songwriter Susan Hwang in Bushwick Brooklyn). Each season, BBC Oakland selects a book and invites ten local musicians to read the book, write a song inspired by the book, and perform these fresh baby songs in a donation based public concert at Peralta Hacienda in Oakland. The BBC Oakland team is: Yoko OK, Kyla Kupferstein Torres, Nikki Bonsol (Nikbo), and Claire Calderon. BBC Oakland began in 2018.
